Artist's Comments
The keyblade, Oblivion, is pretty much finished. There are only a few other details needed. I still need to attach the keychain and set the paint with many layers of clear acrylic. This will take a few days since I must allow for dry time.
The picture is a little awkward. I used interference paint to line the edge of the blade and also the trim around the main jem piece. Since it refracs light, the camera pics it up too much so the effect is a lot more suttle then the photo portrays. Anyhoo. I am really excited about this. I will be going to AKON, June 3 in Dallas, TX (US) in a couple of weeks. Though I think this will be the last prop I make. It took too much planning and time to make. It cut into other projects like writing. (SIGH) but I have to say that is was fun and I am very pleased with the results. Thank you everyone for your comments. They were really nice and supportive. |

The mushrooms can be annoying, expecially when you give them the right spells but no mystery goo, just one of the arts items. I usually hunt the blue ones with the yellow caps. the ones that always give you mystery goo if you bounce them in the air 10 times in a row. Yeah, that one. I just use aeroga, but it still is a pain because the only ones I can find are in the ship in neverland, and they keep falling off the boat! >_<
